Amazing DIY Cupcake and Cake Designs

Parenting.com recently did a fabulous article entitled “31 Awesome Birthday Cake Designs“. The cupcakes in the picture above (with credit to Parenting.com and photographer Kenneth Chen) are quite simple to recreate. They were made with gumdrops, a frosted Mallomar cookie and M&M Minis. Instructions for decorating the cupcake as well as the cupcake recipe are included at their site.

There are 31 cakes over at the Parenting.com site. Don’t dismiss them due to the fact that they are primarily meant for a child’s birthday celebration. There are some great DIY cupcake and cake decorating ideas over there that may be used for other occasions too (like unique wedding cakes, mini wedding cakes, or cupcake wedding cakes).
