Wedding Cake Toppers that Make Your Cake Special

Your wedding cake topper can be a brilliant addition to a wedding cake you make yourself, and it may be the easiest part of the process!

When you make your own wedding cake you have so many choices as to what to put atop that cake.  Your florist can make an arrangement for the top of the cake to match your bouquet – always a beautiful topper and very elegant.  You can order one online from a variety of sources (just “google” wedding toppers and you’ll find anything you could want!).  My favorite is a monogram topper…

You could use just one letter or put your first initial and your groom’s first initial along side the last name initial as they did above.  Look closely at the cake in the picture,  It is a simple design – layered cakes that could be frosted with a simple buttercream, very simple dots could be piped at the “seams” and purchased roses could be placed along the edges.

When choosing your wedding cake topper, keep in mind that your topper can be saved as a remembrance of your special day and can later be prominently displayed in your new home.  The topper below is made by Lenox and has a great price for a true keepsake…

  1. [...] And I love the simple floral arrangement with candles.  You could, of course, substitute in a bride and groom topper.  Or you could use monograms as seen in this prior post. [...]
